Adding External Users to a CNAV Group

If you have auditing students in your class who do not have Gettysburg College email addresses and want to add them to your CNAV course email address you can do this easily by editing the group. (Please see Adding Gettysburg College Members to a CNAV Group to add people with a Gettysburg College email address.)

In order to add people to a CNAV course email address or a group, you must be the owner of the group. You will not see the “Edit” option, if you are not the owner of the group.

  1. Log in to CNAV with your Gettysburg College username and password.
  2. From the My Places drop-down menu, select My Groups.
  3. Scroll down until you find the course or group in to which you wish to add a member.
  4. Click the corresponding Edit icon (pencil icon).

  1. Under the Membership Tools section, click the Add external members to group link.
  2. Enter the new member’s name and email address into the table.
  3. Click the Save New Users button.
