Using Kahoot

Kahoot is an online platform used by educators for creating games, quizzes, and polls. It may also be used for voting in large meetings. If you are having problems using Kahoot see the following tips.

Participating in a Kahoot Activity

1. Go to https://kahoot.it/
2. Enter the Game Pin provided by the person hosting the game, quiz, or poll and click the Enter button.

3. If you don’t see the Game PIN box, look for a Play button in the upper right corner of the screen near the Log in option. (The Play button only appears if you are on the kahoot.com website rather than kahoot.it)

You do not need to have a Kahoot account or be logged into Kahoot to participate in an activity created by another user. Make sure you go to kahoot.it rather than kahoot.com. The .com address is needed for creating Kahoot activities.

Using the Mobile App

1. Download and open the Kahoot app.
2. Click the Join button.

4. Enter the Game Pin provided by the person hosting the game, quiz, or poll and click the Enter button.

Creating a Kahoot Activity

1. Go to https://kahoot.com or install the Kahoot app on your mobile device.
2. Click the Log in button and log in using your Kahoot credentials. (You must purchase your own Kahoot account to create content.)
