Using PowerPoint 2019 on a Mac to Record a Slide Show Presentation

  1. Open your PowerPoint presentation.
  2. Select the Slide Show tab and click the Record Slide Show button.

  1. The Record window will open.
  2. Choose a webcam and microphone source from the drop-down menus.

  1. Click the Record button.

  1. Begin the presentation, moving through the slides.
  2. Click the Stop button to stop the recording.
  3. Click the End Show button to exit the Record screen.

  1. Open the File menu and select Export.

  1. Enter a name for the file in the Export As field and choose MP4 from the File Format drop-down menu.

  1. Click the Export button.
  2. Make sure the Use Recorded Timings and Narrations option is selected.

  1. Click the Export button.
  2. PowerPoint will begin exporting the file.  Depending on the length of the presentation, this may take anywhere from one to ten minutes.  A progress bar appears at the bottom of the screen that indicated when the file is complete.

Do not close PowerPoint before the progress bar has completed. Closing the application before the video file has finished processing may corrupt the file.
